Deborah L. Durbin was born and educated in Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Wright State University. She is a former reading and art teacher and co-founded two public single-gender schools in Dayton, Ohio. She was raised and is a practicing Roman Catholic. Her writing expresses the principles of Christianity in everyday living with heartfelt insight and simple understanding of God’s promises. Her goal is to give the young reader books that inspire spirituality through stories and fairy tales about other children’s journeys as they begin to recognize and appreciate their gifts from God. Deborah is married and lives with her family and four dogs in Dayton, Ohio

Andrea M. Attaway-Young, a native of Dayton, Ohio has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Humanities Degree from Wright State University. An entrepreneur for child/youth enhancement programs, she co-owns of The Wright to Dream, LLC and tirelessly works to encourage today's youth to dream, and to expect their dreams to become reality. Raised in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she sees herself as a God-being in the making. Through her poetry, plays and books on children's literature, she embraces the quest to "Seek the Mind of Christ" and leads others to this calling.

Debbie and Andrea met in 2006 while serving on a committee, planning events for the 100th anniversary observance of famed Daytonion and poet Paul Laurence Dunbar’s death. They began writing spiritual fairy tales and other stories for children. The Secret Treasure is the first of four fairy tales.
